About Cherrybrook; PowerPoint Presentation
Cherrybrook was formed in 2008 with the intent of offering something different to children playing grassroots football. We envisioned a game played by children, where they were encouraged to develop and become not only good players but also better people. We wanted to provide the best environment, best coaching, best facilities, and importantly, make it fun; for it to be about the players.
We also understand that as parents, you want the best facilities, good coaching and value for money. We strive to be the best, “excellence is our goal.”
Coaches, you need and deserve our support. We will pay for your FA qualifications as we believe that you should never be out of pocket, you already give up enough of your time. We manage your team’s subs, provide you with high quality training venues, schedule your home matches.
This approach has proven to be highly successful, with the club staffed by over 150 qualified volunteer coaches, nearly 1000 players of all ages, and 80 teams ranging from U5s to veterans.
We work closely with the council and the football foundation, first obtaining a lease for Laithwaite Park and then submitting a bid in 2017 for its development. Despite Covid and the war in Ukraine, these plans have come to fruition, resulting in a legacy site that footballers will be able to use for many years to come. We are ambitious and always looking to improve. If you feel that you can contribute, do not hesitate to get in touch.
